- igniting:
the principal should be responsible for it. the duty monitor will operate and also work with kiln team together. put some timber in the gate and make them even,then spill some certain engine oil on it.begin to ignite(then close the manhole).make them fully burning .when igniting,should open the air relief valve & close the junction valve to the gas main pipe.
- after the timber burn fully add in amount of coal in the furnace step by step. then start the blast furnace to support burning. when the temperature of gas outlet reaches 600℃, add 2 hoppers of coal & blast much to keep it burning for 20minutes. stop the wind & watch the burning state. if the fire burns well. that’s ok. if not even, should reduce or stop the wind, then stir the burning timber with one steel bar to keep them burning evenly. otherwise,reignite.
- when coal layer reach certain thickness, begin to produce steam, the discharged gas colour turns from white (steam) to gray, carbon black, to black till up to tan color. it shows the gas quality has reached the requirement.
- sampling & test the gas quality. if the content of co is over -20%, o2 content below 0.5% , can supply the gas to the kiln.
(c)gas supply
- open the water seal dump valve to supply to gas main pipe(close coal gas burner, valve & bell hood valve), meanwhile, open tail bleeder valve of the pipe. after 10-20 minutes, sampling & trial fire. if succeed, begin to supply gas to the burner.
- before ignite the burner, must open second-blast gate firstly . then clcan out the hearth & exhaust remained gas in the furnace & pipe.
- close second-blast gate.
- prepare one stick for igniting . don’t ignite until the sampling is qualified & close bleeder valve . watch the fire & coal gas , avoid overfull gas gathering . not allow to ignite by the exploding ways.
- the igniting person can’t plumb in the face of the gate . not allow anyone standing by the gate & other manhole of the furnace.
- when the burner is ignited, watch the fire & increase second-wind gradually. then adjust the air valveof the burner to keep burning steadily.
- if the burner can’t spray the fire , shows the gas quality is not good or insufficient . should blow away the remained gas thoroughly . then repeat above steps to ignite & supply gas after 5 mimutes.
ⅵ、gasification operation
- operating precautions
(1)the stoker on duty should often watch for all of instruments’ work status.once find something wrong, must repair at once.
(2)should define duties to the operation of power cut & gas supply . the stoker mustn’t leave his post without allowance while on duty.
(3)don’t open the atmoseal before open the viewing hole. it’s the principle that the amount of steam can seal off the coal gas. after finished the operating, must cover the lid first, then close the atmoseal.
(4)overall check stove layer& wind pressure temperature once every 2 hours and make good records factually.
(5)adjust the amount of coal & wind and clear out the ash slag in time according to the stove chamber status. and make detailed records on the time & amount of cleaning the slags.
(6)often inspect & adjust concerned part positions including water overflow, cooling water flow & the level high or low of the water lute.
(7)the pressure of the gas outlet should be at least 25mm water column so as to avoid kiln backfire.
(8)the temperature can’t be over 550℃. must strictly control the ash layer to prevent the wind-hood burnt out.
(9)when several furnaces work at the same time, the pressure of each one must exceed main pipe so as to avoid the gas flow backwards & the blast.
(10) when stop the steam, should use replaced stcan to supply wind & viewing hole air-seal. or reduce the blast amount and keep the viewing hole closed.
- operation
(1)should control the amount of coal according to the gas quantity demanded of the furnace, the outlet temperature’s high or low, coal layer thickness & other conditions.
(2)feed coal more times, less amount. and should watch for the coal’s thickness & distribution to make them even & wine colour.
(3)should feed the coal in time & do it as the operation regulations & rules. no matter whenever feed the coal, can’t do it under the condition of the part burning so avoid the temperature fall.
(4)stir the coal layer now ang again to keep them distributing & temperature evenly. when stir the coal layer, should operate one to two circles. and also disperse the slag.
(5)if part coal layer gets thinner, should add the coal in time & keep them even distributing. the difference can’t be more than 100-150mm.
(6)adjustment of wind & gas amount: wind should be consistent with gas, can’t be greater wind
