CCPSA是一个针对所有消费品安全的法案，2011年6月20日正式实施。适用于在合理的情况下所获得以用于非商业目的的产品，比如用于家用、娱乐和运动的产品。但不适用于本应属于“消费品”定义范围的某些产品，包括爆炸物、化妆品、药品、食品、医疗器械和弹药等，这些产品由其他法律管辖。玩具产品属于CCPSA的管辖范围。
